Hair Stuff

I got my haircut! Now this may not sound too exciting for some, but for me it was quite a big deal. Usually I get my sister-in-law to cut my hair for me, which is lovely of her of course but does mean I don't get the whole 'hairdresser' experience. I only had a few inches cut off, however I really enjoyed having it done as my hairdresser was lovely. After having such a good time there, I have decided that I am going to look after my hair. Yes, that is quite a big statement for me! To start this off, I popped along to Boots and bought myself L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Shampoo and the matching Conditioner. 

I must say that I was quite apprehensive before buying these, however they were on offer, so I thought why not! I am really pleased with the results, my hair may not actually been thicker but it definitely looks it and has much more volume. It is also taking longer to get greasy and is much more workable, instead of just being thin and hard to style. I also bought a heat defence spray from Tresemme, which I can't comment on too much as I haven't used it very much as I am trying to use less heat on my hair. Overall, I really recommend this shampoo and conditioner if you're looking for a bit more volume in your hair.

October Wish List

I am constantly scanning the web for new products and clothing, I always end up creating a huge shopping basket of my dream closet and then end up not buying half the items. So, I thought that I would create a list of the things that I have been lusting over this month, in case it inspires any of you.

1. The leather skirt

I had been looking for a good leather skirt for some time, I think they are perfect for autumn/winter, however I hadn't found one that fitted my budget, without looking cheap. So when I found this little beauty from River Island I was ecstatic!

This skirt is the perfect A line shape, and if black isn't your thing it comes in a variety of different colours (blue, pink, grey, white and yellow)! 

2. The Shoe

I saw these white leather Converse- there is definitely a leather theme this month!- in store and fell in love...

I am a Converse gal and have been wanting to get a new pair for a while now and these are perfect! Almost all my shoes are canvas- not perfect for the British weather- which is why I was so excited to see the leather version of these Converse classics.

3. The Coat

I do now own this coat, that is how much I love it! I am very particular about my coats, I have a weird issue with wearing my coat done up- don't ask- and often find myself just not bothering wearing a coat at all. However, I think this coat is perfect both undone and buttoned up. The shape is flattering and very on trend, whilst the fur hood adds something different. Also, the hood is detachable which comes in useful as the fur can sometimes get a bit bulky.

4. The Watch

I am not a huge watch person, I have one from Urban Outfitters and that's it. However, I  think this Olivia Burton watch is stunning. The baby blue, the rose gold... I couldn't ask for more! But, at £72 I think it is one for the Christmas list!

5. The Dress

I think this dress from Missguided is perfect! It shows just enough skin, whilst being warm enough for this season. I really like the scuba material of this dress... it just gives a really nice fit. I am definitely going to be getting this one in time for the Christmas season!

I love everything on this list but the one thing I am looking for is a good pair of jeans, high waisted but very skinny. If you do have any recommendations, please let me know. Get to Know Me

For my first post I thought I would do the Get to Know Me: 25 Questions Tag, so let's jump right in! 

1. Do you have a middle name?
Yes, I do! It's Amelia, after my grandmother.

2. What is your favourite subject at school?
English has always been my favourite subject, as writing and reading is my passion. I want to do English for my degree... well that's the plan, anyway!

3. What's your favourite drink?
This is quite hard.... but I think it would have to be the Red Berry Ice from Costa, I drink it all the time in the summer (and sometimes in the winter too!).

4. What's your favourite song at the moment?
I was recently given Ed Sheeran's new album 'X' and I think it would have to be any song from there. In particular; 'Nina', 'Tenerife Sea', 'Bloodstream' and 'Afire Love'. I am listening to them on repeat!

5. What would you name your children?
For a girl, I like Savannah and for a boy, Jack.

6.Do you participate in any sports?
No, I'm really not into sports. I don't do anything other than what we do at school.

7.What's your favourite book?
ONE! I don't think I could possibly ever choose just one book, there are just too many! However, one of my favourite books has to be 'To Kill a Mockingbird' by Harper Lee.

8. What's your favourite colour?
Either blue or mint.

9. What's your favourite animal?
Either a dog or a giraffe. Two very different choices!

10. What's your favourite perfume?
I'm not hugely into perfume, however I do like 'Happy' from Clinique.

11. What's your favourite holiday?
It is a tie between Christmas and Halloween.

12. Have you left school?
I'm only 15, so I'm still at school!

13. Have you been out of the country?
Yes! I've travelled quite a lot, however I would really like to visit Rome, New York and see the Northern Lights.

14. Do you speak any other languages?
I do Spanish GCSE, but I'm hardly fluent!

15. Do you have any siblings?
Yes, three.

16. What's your favourite store?
It would have to be either Topshop or H&M.

17. What's your favourite restaurant?
I am OBSESSED with Byron, their burgers are amazing!

18. Do you like school?
Most of the time!

19. Who are some of your favourite YouTubers? 
I am in love with Louise from Sprinkle of Glitter and I also really like Patricia from Patricia Bright.

20. What's your favourite movie?
I have three! '21 Jump Street', 'The Blind Side' and 'The Guardian'.

21. What are some of your favourite t.v. shows?
'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here', 'Gogglebox' and 'Keeping up with the Kardashians'. You can tell that I love a bit of crap t.v!

22. PC or Mac?
I've never had a Mac, so I have to say PC.

23. What phone do you have?
My phone is completely broken, but thankfully I'm getting an iPhone soon.

24. How tall are you?
Pretty tall! I'm about 5'10''.

25. Any pets?
I have a dog, his name is Bailey.
